The total cost of the basic funeral option from Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) is £1170


Please note:

A funeral can be either a burial or a cremation. The price of Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon)'s basic funeral option does not include cemetery or crematoria fees, also known as 'disbursements', which vary widely across the country.

If you're having a burial you can expect cemetery and grave preparation fees to be between £500 and £20,000.

If you're having a cremation you can expect crematoria fees to be between £500 and £800. Two doctors' signatures are required for cremations (unless the coroner is involved) and these cost £152.

These costs will be in addition to the basic funeral cost quoted above.

Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) says: "This is a simple woodland burial funeral providing all that is necessary from the time of death through to burial while retaining the integrity of a respectful burial in a beautiful woodland site."

All costs for appropriate care of the body of the person who had died.

Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) says: "The deceased will be cared for at our beautiful premises on the farm at WoodWalton near Huntingdon, Cambs. "

The provision of a coffin for the person who has died.

Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) says: "Included in the price is The Cardboard Coffin. British and manufactured from corrugated cardboard, strong and sturdy. It includes a biodegradable cotton liner, rope handles and nameplate."

Collection of the body of the person who has died and transport of the body to the place of burial or cremation.

Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) says: "Transport of the body is made using a suitable Volvo state vehicle. Other options are available on request."

The cost of co-ordinating the funeral on the day (not including performing the ceremony).

Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) says: "All help, advice and organising a natural burial over the telephone and in the comfort of your own home including all administration and attendance throughout the funeral is included. You are also welcome to visit our beautiful premises in WoodWalton."

Direct Cremation Option


The total cost of the direct cremation option from Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) is £1500


Please note:

The cost of this direct cremation includes all fees and costs for the cremation. This includes the crematoria fees (usually between £500 and £800) and two doctors' signatures which are required for cremations (unless the coroner is involved) costing £152.

There is usually no ceremony with this service and it is not possible to choose the crematoria or the time of day.


Woodland Wishes (Cambridge & Huntingdon) says about their direct cremation option:

<p>We use an estate car to take the deceased on their final journey to the crematorium.&nbsp; The cremated remains will then be returned to the family at both our convenience.</p>
