Basic Funeral Option


The total cost of the basic funeral option from Harmony Funeral Service is £1725


Please note:

A funeral can be either a burial or a cremation. The price of Harmony Funeral Service's basic funeral option does not include cemetery or crematoria fees, also known as 'disbursements', which vary widely across the country.

If you're having a burial you can expect cemetery and grave preparation fees to be between £500 and £20,000.

If you're having a cremation you can expect crematoria fees to be between £500 and £800. Two doctors' signatures are required for cremations (unless the coroner is involved) and these cost £152.

These costs will be in addition to the basic funeral cost quoted above.

This basic funeral includes:


This funeral includes all costs for Harmony Funeral Service's professional services, advice and help (including help to find someone to perform the ceremony if required).

Harmony Funeral Service says: "Includes meeting with you at our funeral home or another preferred address to discuss your needs and wishes for the funeral, making any necessary arrangements on your behalf and helping you to complete any legally required documentation."

All costs for appropriate care of the body of the person who had died.

Harmony Funeral Service says: "Includes looking after the person who has died until the conclusion of their funeral service. The chapel of rest is also included, if wished. We do not embalm people in our care as a standard practice."

The provision of a coffin for the person who has died.

Harmony Funeral Service says: "Includes a simple coffin suitable for cremation or burial. You have complete freedom of choice to have a different type of coffin, but some will incur a further cost."

Collection of the body of the person who has died and transport of the body to the place of burial or cremation.

Harmony Funeral Service says: "Includes bringing the person who has died into our care (at any time, day or night) and bringing the coffin to the crematorium or place of burial on the day of the funeral. "

The cost of co-ordinating the funeral on the day (not including performing the ceremony).

Harmony Funeral Service says: "Our fees include our support and assistance on the day of the funeral service."

Direct Cremation Option


The total cost of the direct cremation option from Harmony Funeral Service is £2170


Please note:

The cost of this direct cremation includes all fees and costs for the cremation. This includes the crematoria fees (usually between £500 and £800) and two doctors' signatures which are required for cremations (unless the coroner is involved) costing £152.

There is usually no ceremony with this service and it is not possible to choose the crematoria or the time of day.

This direct cremation includes:


All costs for the cremation disbursement fee, second doctor's fee and Harmony Funeral Service's professional services and advice.

Harmony Funeral Service says: "This cost includes our professional fees, the fee payable for a non-attended cremation service at our local crematorium and the doctor's fees for legally required cremation documentation. "

All costs for appropriate care of the body of the person who had died until the cremation has taken place.

Harmony Funeral Service says: "The person who has died will be looked after by us, with the highest standards of care, until the conclusion of the committal at the crematorium. We do not carry out embalming as a standard practice."

The provision of a coffin for the person who has died.

Harmony Funeral Service says: "Includes a simple coffin suitable for cremation"

Transport of the body of the person who has died to the place of cremation and collection and return of the ashes.

Harmony Funeral Service says: "We will respectfully take the person who has died to the crematorium. The ashes will be returned to you in a simple urn, suitable for scattering of ashes, burial or keeping them at home until you feel ready to decide a final resting place."
