Basic Funeral Option

The total cost of the basic funeral option from Peace Funerals is £945

Please note:

A funeral can be either a burial or a cremation. The price of Peace Funerals 's basic funeral option does not include cemetery or crematoria fees, also known as 'disbursements', which vary widely across the country.

If you're having a burial you can expect cemetery and grave preparation fees to be between £500 and £20,000.

If you're having a cremation you can expect crematoria fees to be between £500 and £800. Two doctors' signatures are required for cremations (unless the coroner is involved) and these cost £152.

These costs will be in addition to the basic funeral cost quoted above.

If you choose our Basic Cremation package you take responsibility for carrying out certain tasks. They are:

Ensuring that we receive safely, at our Sheffield premises, the green form that you will be given by the registrar and that you sign the two other forms that are required before the cremation can go ahead.

Organising any funeral ceremony that is taking place with the minister / celebrant directly. (We will help you to find an appropriate minister or celebrant.)

And, if you have selected the 'washing and dressing' option, arranging for any clothes to be worn to be delivered to our Sheffield premises.

This funeral package provides an economic alternative for those people wanting to organise a respectful funeral with a minimum of fuss. Peace Funerals is an NDC recommended funeral director and is also recommended in the Good Funeral Guide.

This basic funeral includes:

	This funeral includes all costs for Peace Funerals 's professional services, advice and help (including help to find someone to perform the ceremony if required).	Peace Funerals says: "The package is priced at £945 in all of South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire (Area 1). The same package is available in the remaining parts of Derbyshire, all of Nottinghamshire, and parts of West Yorkshire, Humberside and Lincolnshire at £1025 (Area 2)."
	All costs for appropriate care of the body of the person who had died.	Peace Funerals says: "Once brought to our premises, the body is kept in refrigeration. Washing, dressing, and viewing in normal hours is charged extra at £80."
	The provision of a coffin for the person who has died.	Peace Funerals says: "Choice of oak veneered, cardboard or Elyzium willow coffin is included in the price."
	Collection of the body of the person who has died and transport of the body to the place of burial or cremation.	Peace Funerals says: "Our charge includes collection of the body from the place of decease during normal working hours. (Additional charges apply outside of these hours - Area 1 - £98, Area 2 - £145.) "
	The cost of co-ordinating the funeral on the day (not including performing the ceremony).	Peace Funerals says: "Cost of transport direct to crematorium is included (by hearse or people carrier - customer's choice). The provision of 4 bearers is also included."
